Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of CampusPrep. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using our platform.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By creating an account, browsing, or using the CampusPrep website and applications (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

To access certain features of CampusPrep, including generating mock exams, entering study rooms, or publishing notes, you must register for an account:

  • Eligibility: The Service is designed primarily for students enrolled in tertiary educational institutions (universities, polytechnics, colleges of education). You represent that you are at least 16 years of age, or have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian if under 16.
  • Account Accuracy: You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information during registration (such as your full name and valid email address).
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and account credentials. You must immediately notify CampusPrep of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Educational Nature of the Service & Academic Disclaimer

CampusPrep is an independent educational practice, revision, and study collaboration platform.

Important Academic Notice:

  • CampusPrep is NOT an official examination board, testing agency, or administrative arm of any university, polytechnic, JAMB, WAEC, NECO, or the National Universities Commission (NUC).
  • All CBT mock tests, questions, and automated scoring simulations are provided strictly for practice and self-assessment purposes.
  • We make no representations or guarantees that questions appearing on CampusPrep will appear in your actual institution's semester examinations, or that achieving a specific score on CampusPrep guarantees a specific grade on official university exams.

4. AI-Generated Content & Accuracy Limitations

CampusPrep uses artificial intelligence models to generate practice questions, explanations, model answers, and rubric-based grading feedback:

  • Possibility of Errors: Artificial intelligence outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies, incomplete explanations, or misinterpretations of complex mathematical or scientific nuances.
  • Student Responsibility: Users should always cross-reference AI-generated explanations and answers with official university course material, lecture slides, and recommended textbooks.
  • Not Expert Advice: Information provided through our AI tools is strictly educational and does not constitute professional legal, medical, engineering, or financial advice.

5. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities

You agree to use CampusPrep solely for legitimate academic study and peer collaboration. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform inside an active, in-person, proctored university examination hall for cheating or exam malpractice.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, bully, or abuse other students in study rooms, group chats, or the student feed.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, reverse engineer, or exploit vulnerabilities in our software, database, or API endpoints.
  • Bypass or circumvent rate limits, authentication controls, or automated security filters.
  • Use automated scrapers, bots, or extraction scripts to harvest question banks, user directories, or platform data without authorization.
  • Upload malicious software, viruses, Trojan horses, or corrupted documents to the platform.
  • Abuse AI generation endpoints via prompt injection or automated flooding.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Platform Property: All software, interface designs, logos, graphics, icons, text, code, and trade dress on CampusPrep are the proprietary property of CampusPrep or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.

User Content & Study Notes: When you upload study notes, summaries, or materials to the platform, you retain your ownership rights. However, you grant CampusPrep a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, store, and distribute such materials on the platform as directed by you. You represent that you have all necessary rights to publish the materials and that they do not infringe upon any third-party copyright.

7. Peer Marketplace, Payments & Refund Terms

CampusPrep provides a peer-to-peer Notes Marketplace enabling students to share and purchase course summaries and study guides:

  • Payments: All transactions are conducted in Nigerian Naira (NGN) through our payment gateway partner, Flutterwave. CampusPrep does not store your credit/debit card information.
  • Instant Delivery: Purchased study notes are digital goods and are made available for viewing/downloading in your account immediately upon payment confirmation.
  • Refund Policy for Digital Goods: Because digital files cannot be "returned", all sales are generally final. However, if a purchased file is demonstrably corrupt, empty, unreadable, or completely mismatched from its description, you may contact support@campusprep.online within 48 hours of purchase. Validated claims will be refunded or credited.
  • Seller Payouts: Note sellers may request withdrawal of their earned balance to a verified Nigerian bank account. Withdrawals are processed via Flutterwave transfer APIs in accordance with our withdrawal processing schedules.

8. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to provide reliable 24/7 service availability. However, CampusPrep does not warrant that the service will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or free from scheduled maintenance downtime. We reserve the right to modify, enhance, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service with reasonable notice when practical.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud or harassment, or attempt to compromise platform integrity. You may terminate your account at any time via Settings > Delete Account.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CampusPrep, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, academic grades, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall CampusPrep's aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service exceed the amount paid by you to CampusPrep in the three (3) months preceding the claim, or ₦5,000 NGN, whichever is greater.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith amicable negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
