1. Purpose and Scope
CampusPrep is committed to fostering a supportive, safe, and academically rigorous community for university and tertiary students. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") defines what is acceptable and what is strictly prohibited when using our web application, discussion feeds, study rooms, AI features, and peer marketplace.
By creating an account or accessing the platform, you agree to adhere to this Policy. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, and where warranted, referral to relevant law enforcement authorities.
2. Permitted and Encouraged Activities
- Generate customized CBT and handwritten practice mock exams for personal academic revision.
- Form, host, and participate in collaborative multiplayer study rooms and campus Super Rooms with your peers.
- Share genuine, high-quality, student-authored course notes, revision guides, and past question solutions in the marketplace.
- Ask academic questions, share study tips, and celebrate milestone achievements on the student feed.
- Report errors, software bugs, or question quality discrepancies to help us improve the platform for all students.
3. Academic Integrity & Examination Ethics
CampusPrep is an academic study tool. We maintain zero tolerance for actions that subvert educational integrity:
- Live In-Hall Examination Malpractice: You must NEVER access, operate, or consult CampusPrep (or its AI generation features) while sitting inside an official, live, in-person proctored university semester exam hall, test center, or invigilated assessment room.
- Distribution of Stolen Exam Papers: You may not upload, request, or circulate live, unreleased, confidential, or stolen university semester examination papers ("leakages" or "runs").
- Impersonation: You may not take live group competitions or tests under another student's credentials to fraudulently manipulate leaderboards or university awards.
4. Prohibited Technical & Security Misconduct
You agree not to engage in any activity that interferes with, degrades, or compromises the security, stability, or availability of CampusPrep:
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access accounts, private study rooms, admin portals, or data belonging to another user without explicit permission.
- Vulnerability Probing & Exploitation: Scanning, fuzzing, testing, or exploiting potential security flaws in our application endpoints, Supabase database, or server infrastructure without prior written authorization.
- Malicious Software & Payloads: Uploading, linking to, or transmitting files containing computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, keyloggers, or malicious scripts.
- Circumventing Controls: Bypassing rate limits, API throttling, token quotas, room member caps, or authentication verifications.
- Automated Scraping & Denial of Service: Deploying automated headless browsers, web scrapers, bots, or scripts to bulk-extract questions, profiles, or marketplace materials, or performing actions that impose unreasonable burdens on platform servers (DDoS).
5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Abuse
Our AI mock generation and grading features are powered by high-capacity machine learning systems. Prohibited AI interactions include:
- Prompt Injection & Jailbreaking: Attempting to bypass safety guardrails or subvert system instructions to force models into generating harmful, offensive, illegal, or sexually explicit content.
- Flooding & Automated Bombardment: Using scripts to spam continuous mock generation requests, depleting platform AI resources intended for student revision.
- Reverse Engineering: Attempting to reconstruct, extract, or copy the underlying proprietary server prompts, configurations, or model weights.
6. Community Standards & User Conduct
CampusPrep brings together students from diverse institutions, backgrounds, and disciplines. When communicating in study room chats, direct messages, or the student feed, you must NOT post content that:
- Harassment & Hate Speech: Promotes violence, incites hatred, or uses abusive, derogatory language targeting ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.
- Bullying & Defamation: Stalks, bullies, threatens, or makes false defamatory claims against fellow students, lecturers, or university staff.
- Explicit & Obscene Content: Contains pornography, graphic violence, vulgarity, or sexually suggestive imagery.
- Spam & Unsolicited Commercial Messaging: Promotes external commercial products, unauthorized affiliate schemes, crypto schemes, or non-educational solicitations.
7. Notes Marketplace & Financial Integrity
When using the peer-to-peer Notes Marketplace as a seller or buyer:
- Copyright & Attribution: Sellers must only upload notes, summaries, and revision guides that they authored or have legal authority to distribute. Do not upload full photocopied textbooks without publisher permission.
- Accurate Representation: Note titles, descriptions, page counts, and course codes must accurately reflect the file content. Intentionally misrepresenting a file or selling blank/corrupt documents is strictly prohibited.
- Financial Fraud: Performing fraudulent chargebacks, using stolen credit/debit cards on Flutterwave, or submitting falsified bank payout claims will result in immediate permanent account banning and forfeiture of platform balances.
8. Enforcement & Penalties
CampusPrep monitors platform activity to protect community safety. Depending on the nature and severity of an infraction, we may:
- Issue a formal warning to the account holder.
- Delete offending study rooms, marketplace listings, or chat messages.
- Temporarily suspend access to specific features (e.g. AI generation or chat).
- Permanently ban the user account and associated credentials (redirecting access to our restricted status page).
- Notify university administration or law enforcement authorities in cases involving criminal conduct, threats of violence, or serious fraud.
